Hello again all. Well, don't ask me what that snow was about? There was loads of it. We had 15ft drifts over here in Huddersfield (in some hard to reach places), everybody snowed in, 4x4 drivers tootling about with a very self satisfied, 'This is what I wait all year for, and I love screaming past you walking, on my 300yd dash to the Co-op' smile on their face, no bread or milk in the shops because snow signals the start of a new Cold War of course, and most folk staring out of their windows smiling at the romantic, slowly falling flakes because its the weekend, wanting to just go out and plant the first footprints in the fresh, crisp snow, listen to that satisfying crunch as your foot sinks in, throw a snowball for no reason at all, only for all that niceness to be replaced by screams of, 'I wish this snow would just piss off now, it's a joke! It's March! This country's shit! I'm sick of it! Look at him in his Land Rover! Nobhead!', and other phrases, profanities and expletives that we all know and don't need to write down. Anyway..... We played the first music train of the year on the Penistone line last night and it wer' grand! :) A great turn out and the PLP folk put on a good bar once again, coupled with some noise from us led to plenty of singing and dancing in the aisles (or people were just trying to stand up on our 144, not sure which)! ;) We've got a couple more music trains this year on there as well as a privately booked one for the Brighouse Rotary club. Well....that's all for now, and it's been a pleasure. I'm off now because the sun's come out and I've got to get this pasty frame some light because it's been that long since we had a nice day I'm starting to resemble an extra from a Twilight film, and nobody wants to have a complexion like an uncooked pastry product now do they?
